AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Commissioner Corey Johnson has announced he's running for the District 22 Senate seat.
Johnson tossed in his hat at his 40th birthday party on Saturday night.
Johnson said he feels like he can make a difference on the state level.
The seat is being vacated by Sen. Hardie Davis, who announced he's running for Augusta mayor.
