COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) - The Columbia County Board of Education has voted to keep their millage rate the same.
Tuesday morning the board voted to keep the millage rate at 18.59. That's no change from last year.
Included in the discussion was talk about how new construction and property values allowed an increase in local revenue. This is allowing them to keep the rate the same but also allows for school improvements. Those improvements include more teachers and smaller class sizes.
News 12 is at the meeting, we'll keep you updated.
