3 suspects arrested in shooting near club Pure Platinum, 1 injured

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Richmond County Sheriff's deputies arrived at a shooting outside of Club Platinum at 2:11 Sunday morning, according to a release.

Three people have been arrested in connection to the shooting.

Rommie Cody Williams, 26, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.

Steven Lawrence Williams, 28, was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Yusuf Khalid Thompson, 26, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The call was originally for a large crowd in the parking lot and a possible altercation.

Witnesses told deputies several people were shooting randomly. Deputies found one man without a gunshot wound to his wrist.

He was taken to GRU for medical treatment, according to the release.

Deputies also found a male suspect who has been transported to the Criminal Investigation Division for questioning.

The investigation is ongoing.
