Sheriff's Office: Child using stun gun on another child spurs investigation

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A deputy is on administrative leave after a child in his home discharged a stun gun hitting another child while the deputy was off duty, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said.

Adults were present in the home and the child was taken to GRU, the Sheriff's Office said. The deputy is on administrative leave with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.

The deputy was off-duty and the Sheriff's Office is calling the incident an accident.
