BAMBERG, S.C. (WRDW) -- Police in the City of Bamberg are investigating after a child was injured in what they say was a drug deal gone wrong.
Police Chief George Morris says the child was inside the house at 444 Elm Street Monday night.
They say someone fired a shot back into the house after unidentified individuals left the home.
It’s unclear yet if the child was grazed by the bullet or a fragment of a piece of flying glass, but she suffered a minor injury to the side of her head.
She was transported to the hospital, treated and released.
The investigation is continuing.
