UPDATE: Child dies after possible abuse

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- News 12 has learned the child involved in an alleged abuse case has died.
The investigation into the circumstances of the 17-month-old's death is continuing.
No charges have been filed at this time.

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A child is on life support after an incident on Wednesday.
EMS was called to the 3700 block of Bansbury Lane in Hephzibah for a cardiac arrest case.
A 17-month-old female was found unresponsive and was taken to the hospital.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says the child had multiple injuries, which is consistent with child abuse.
The child is on life support and is said to be in critical condition at this time.
