UPDATE: Child drowns in bathtub

FAIRFAX, S.C. (WRDW) -- A 5-year-old boy drowned in the bathtub on Saturday, said Fairfax Police Department Chief Marvin Williams.

Officers discovered he had a pulse after arriving on the scene. The boy was flown by helicopter to Georgia Regents Medical Center, where he later died.

Williams said the father left his son in the tub noticed the child floating when he returned.

There is an active investigation ongoing and no charges have been filed.
