Changes in leadership coming to Richmond Co. Sheriff's Office

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- News 12 has learned from an anonymous source that changes are coming to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Cpt. Scott Peebles is being promoted to major and will now be in charge of the Criminal Investigation Division.

Lt. Calvin Chew will become the new public information officer. The Sheriff's Office is also said to be getting a new media relations policy.

Several other law enforcement officers are getting promoted.
