Cars damaged by stones flying off a truck

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A few cars on I-20 ended up with some damage Monday morning after rocks on a truck went flying, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said.

The trunk latch on a Reeves Company mack truck came undone carrying stones, a Richmond County deputy said. The loose stones caused damage to some of the cars traveling behind the truck.

There were no injuries, but a Reeves worker told News 12 they will be ticketed for car damages. Georgia DOT handled the cleanup Monday morning.
