AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) --Trey Watson says he just wanted to do something good for the community. He had no idea his school supply drive would take off the way it did.

"I went up there maybe the second day after I put the donation box up, and there was clothes coming out the top of it," Watson said.

He says he set up donation boxes at area business for people to drop off clothes or supplies.

Watson says he never could have expected the huge community response he would receive.

"Their eyes light up as soon as they walk up like 'Ooh mom I want those!' and I'm just like go ahead and get it, it's free," Watson said.

Watson organized the drive with his car club, and he says they plan to continue giving back throughout the year.

"It makes me feel good in the inside to see somebody get help and maybe make something of themselves," Watson said.

Watson says there aren't many clothes left because people have been constantly stopping by to pick them up for the past two days.

He says if you want to stop by to donate or receive supplies, you can reach him on his personal Facebook page by clicking this link.
