AUGUSTA, GA (WRDW) -- A burglar breaks into a home, ransacks this place, but takes a time out from his crime to relax and have dinner, according to an incident report.
Michael Eugene Dempsey, 42, was arrested on charges of breaking and entering an Augusta home on Howard Avenue on August 15, 2013.
According to Richmond County Sheriff's report, the owner of the home, who lives in Winnsboro, S.C. was checking on the property when she found the back window broken and the back door open.
She then noticed that whoever broke into her house, cooked a Kroger-brand "Meals Made Simple" and ate it in the living room, leaving behind an empty Dasani water bottle.
An antique wooden box, around $50 dollars and a vase are the only items reported missing.
Dempsey was arrested and charged with burglary in the 1st degree following an investigation by the Richmond County Sheriff's Department.
