COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- If you hear a loud "boom" in Columbia County Monday afternoon, it's due to a scheduled blast.
Columbia County EMA Director Pam Tucker says that Precision Blasting will be conducting the blast in the Indian Springs Subdivision off Chamblin Road between 2 and 3 p.m.
Tucker says Martin Marietta conducted a blast at the Augusta quarry on Riverwatch Parkway at noon today.
