BELVEDERE, S.C. (WRDW) -- A Belvedere house fire has been contained after three fire departments responded to the call.

The North Augusta, Belvedere and Midland Valley fire departments responded to the 300 block of Celeste Avenue shortly after 11 a.m. Sunday.

When they got there, officials say the house had smoke and fire showing, causing damage to the back corner of the home.

Deputies say they don't know how the fire started but say the fire started in the kitchen, possibly near the stove.

No one was home at the time of the fire.
