AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Joey Hervias has been bartending at The Playground in downtown Augusta for about four months.
"I've never seen a fight in this bar," he said.
He's never seen a fight even while working the busy First Friday shift.
"It's a massive crowd," Joey said. "It's just a lot more mixed, culturally, wealth-wise, homeless. There's just more of everybody."
He's comparing crowds after First Friday to regular Friday crowds. He expects a decent one on this second Friday of July, but says it might be a little different.
"[Crowds] might tail off for about a month or two, but people will come back," he said. "If they want to go out, they're going to go out."
