Barnwell Co. coroner, SCHP investigating deadly wreck

BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. -- A woman is dead after being thrown from a car during an early morning crash.
Barnwell County Coroner Lloyd Ward says 48-year-old Gertie Lou Johnson was involved in an accident on RJ Johnson Road at 6 a.m.
She was not wearing her seat belt and was the only person involved in the crash.
This is Barnwell County's fourth traffic fatality this year.
