AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- State superintendent John Barge said he is considering a run for governor in 2014.

Republican incumbent Nathan Deal has not said whether he's seeking reelection or not.

He was at the A. R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School presenting the State's School of Excellence award.

He also presented a check of $1,000 for exceeding the state's college ready performance index scoring.
