Armed robbery at Thomson bank

THOMSON, Ga. -- An armed bank robber is still on the run in Thomson. GBI agents say a man busted into the SunTrust on the 600 block of Main Street, demanded money, and fled on foot.
Officers and dogs searched the area around the bank for several hours but did not find their man. Security cameras for that bank are maintained off-site, so the GBI is currently acquiring the footage to get more information about the robbery.
There were customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery, but no one was hurt.
