Bamberg teen awarded scholarship for community effort

BAMBERG, S.C. (WRDW)- A Bamberg teen is being rewarded for his effort to make a difference in his community.

Matthews Maxwell, 18, of Bamberg, has been awarded a $1,000 Kohl's Cares Scholarship for his community efforts.

Maxwell created the Bamberg Ehrhardt Community Service Club, an organization of high school students dedicated to engaging volunteers to serve the community.
