Augusta, Ga. (WRDW) -- Some kids are trying to make an extra buck this summer by getting qualified as certified babysitters.
The Augusta Chapter of the American Red Cross offers a babysitter training course that covers everything from feeding and changing a baby to CPR.
Rebekah Childs took the course when she was 12, and is now an instructor.
She says one of the most important things the course teaches is confidence.
"You know exactly how to take care of the baby...how to hold the baby. How to keep it safe instead of wondering, 'Am I doing something wrong,'" Childs said.
The next course is being offered on August 16, 2014 at the Augusta Red Cross.
