AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A Bartow County jailer said an escaped inmate from Augusta was taken into custody Tuesday night.

Charles Justin Moore, 24, was arrested by one of Bartow's Drug Task force agents.

He is charged with possession of a firearm with drugs, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Since Moore is a fugitive, he was picked up by a state prison employee around 8 p.m.

However, he is now on hold to eventually return to Bartow for these charges.

Authorities at the Georgia Department of Corrections confirmed Moore was assigned to the Richmond County Correctional Institution on Tobacco Road and escaped Monday.

He walked away from a work detail Monday morning.

Moore is serving time for charges from Bulloch and Chatham counties. The charges include theft by receiving and possession with intent to distribute. He started serving his sentence in June of 2011.

Moore is currently at the Bartow County jail.
