Augusta personality named Georgia Radio Hall of Fame 2014 Legacy Inductee

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The legacy of a longtime local radio DJ will live on in Georgia.

The Georgia Radio Hall of Fame announced Dickie Shannon will be one of the 2014 legacy inductees.

Shannon worked at 104.3 WBBQ for 25 years spending a lot of his time on air during the Afternoon Drivetime. He died in 2007 after heart surgery.

The induction ceremony will be Oct. 25 at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Center in the Atlanta area.
