Augusta nightclub shut down after allegedly operating without alcohol license

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- An Augusta nightclub has been shut down after allegedly operating and selling alcohol without a state license.

Undercover deputies made purchases at Surreal at Surrey on Friday and later met with owners to cease store operations.

Warrants were issued for the nightclub's owners on Monday.

Matthew Widener, Clinton Martin, Jason Beck, Sara Jane Morris and Crystal Lynne Allen have been charged with selling alcohol without a license.
