AUGUSTA, Ga. -- An Augusta man is in jail charged with aggravated assault and a weapons charge after deputies say he stabbed his brother.
The suspect has been identified as 32-year-old Jacob Michael Jones.
This happened Saturday afternoon when deputies were called to a home on the 2000 block of Clark Street in Augusta for a stabbing.
The victim was 22-year-old Justin Jones, the suspect's brother. Deputies say the victim was on the computer when he and his brother got into an argument.
According to the report, the suspect then got a knife and cut him on the back of his neck. The cut was said to be about 2 inches long.
Deputies say the knife, which had an 8-inch blade, was found in the kitchen with blood on it.
There is no word on the victim's condition at this time.
The suspect is being held in the Richmond County Jail. His bond is set at $7,900.
