AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- A man is facing charges after accusations he left a 7-year-old on the side of the road.

According to a police report, Moses Jerome Jones got into a fight with the child's mother yesterday near the Bobby Jones Walmart while driving.

When they arrived at a stop sign, the boy in the car exited, the report said.

The mother told deputies Jones kept driving as she was trying to get out of the car and the boy was left until Jones stopped the car. Jones told deputies the woman got out of the car as he was turning around to get the boy who jumped out while the car was in motion.

Jones is facing criminal negligence and reckless conduct charges.
