AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- An Augusta man has been arrested and charged with armed robbery after deputies say he pointed a gun at a woman and demanded all her money.

Deputies have arrested 20-year-old Gary Williamson in connection with the crime.

Investigators say the victim was counting money in the parking lot of the Dollar General on Peach Orchard Road when she looked up to find a gun pointing through the window of her car.

According to the report, Williamson demanded "give me all your money," at which point the victim handed over the $70 she had in her hand.

Deputies say the victim then drove to a nearby gas station to call 911. Clerks in the store recognized the victim's description of Williamson and said he had left the store only 30 minutes prior. Surveillance video showed him in the store.

Deputies were able to locate Williamson on Windsor Spring Road, which is where he was taken into custody.
