Augusta man arrested in connection to theft of 7 car batteries

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A man has been arrested in connection to seven battery thefts.

The batteries were taken from cars at Kia of Augusta on the 1770 block of Gordon Highway.

Surveillance video caught Mark Andrew Lewis, a former employee, driving his convertible onto the lot and then breaking into the cars on Sept. 23.

Lewis was booked into the Richmond County Jail on five counts of entering an automobile to commit a theft.
