AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW)-Augusta Regional Airport's direct flight to Washington, D.C. will end June 4, according to Director of Marketing Diane Johnston.
The last scheduled flight comes after American Airlines announced Augusta was one of 17 cities it would be cancelling flights. The cancellations were part of a Department of Justice requirement, so American Airlines and U.S. Airways could merge.
Johnston said ticket-holders with flights to Washington, D.C. after June 4 should contact their airlines for rebooking.
