COLUMBIA COUNTY (WRDW) -- A Columbia County Assistant Principal is not getting her old job back, but will be assigned as a teacher to a school.

After a 10 and a half hour hearing Wednesday, the Columbia County School Board voted to agree with Superintendent Dr. Sandra Carraway's motion to demote Elizabeth Harley.

Harley requested an appeal after Carraway made her decision last month. The decision was made after evidence presented showing Harley was copying another administrators teacher evaluations and presenting them as her own.

The School Board has not decided what school Harley will teach at, but it's unlikely it'll be at Greenbrier Elementary.

Along the with demotion, Harley will be on probation for two years.
