GRANITEVILLE, S.C. (WRDW) -- Firefighters worked quickly to control two brush fires Thursday evening.

Aiken County officials say the fires started along Gregg Highway near Robert M. Bell Parkway in Graniteville around 6:15 p.m.

Dispatchers say experts with the South Carolina Forestry Commission were able get the fire under control quickly, and it soon burned itself out.

They say no one was injured, and no buildings were damaged.
