Ambulance contract approved in first 2014 Commission meeting

RICHMOND CO., Ga. (WRDW) -- In the first Augusta Commission meeting of the year, Gold Cross EMS' contract was approved for three years with two one-year options.

On Dec. 31, Richmond County's contract with Gold Cross EMS expired leaving seven days without ambulance service in Richmond County. The county still saw ambulances even though the paramedics were not contractually obligated.
