ALLENDALE, S.C. (WRDW) -- An Allendale County man is now in custody after admitting to stabbing a man to death.

Authorities say 60-year-old Angus Ritter of Sycamore, S.C., acted in a "sudden heat of passion" Saturday when he stabbed a man in the torso.

The victim's injuries were fatal.

Deputies say Ritter admitted to the act in writing.

He is now booked in the Allendale County Detention center, charged with manslaughter.
