AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Republican candidate Rick Allen is calling for a recount in the 12th Congressional District race after Tuesday's runoff.
Allen's campaign manager tells News 12 they are waiting on the certification of the results and some outstanding absentee ballots.
State officials say 139 military and overseas ballots are still uncounted along with others.
Lee Anderson claimed victory with a margin of about 150 votes.
Allen is guaranteed a recount if official results show he lost by less than 1 percent.
Unofficial results:
Lee Anderson: 13,778 -- 50%
Rick Allen: 13,625 -- 50%
Whoever goes on to officially win the GOP primary will face off with Congressman John Barrow in November.
