An Aiken County veterinarian was indicted for touching a child for lustful purposes in Mississippi.

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- An Aiken County veterinarian was indicted for touching a child for lustful purposes in Mississippi.

An indictment filed on March 3 claims Juan Carlos Gamboa, 52, inappropriately touched a child under 16 years of age between February 1, 2013 and March 3, 2013.

In a separate case, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gamboa in January for reportedly touching children inappropriately.

On Nov. 18, 2013, the Sheriff’s Office was contacted about Gamboa committing unlawful acts over a 3-month period in 2013.

Gamboa was charged in January with two counts of lewd acts upon a child under 16. The Sheriff's Office said there are two known 8-year-old victims.
