Aiken County investigators searching for armed robbery suspect

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW)- Aiken County Deputies assisted by North Augusta Public Safety are searching for a suspect they say robbed a Family Dollar Store at gun point.

According to investigators, They say a man around 6 ft. tall wearing a camouflage shirt and hat, dark jeans, and boots, robbed the store located on Belvedere-Clearwater Rd. at 2:50 this afternoon.

They say he fled the scene on foot towards Carmel St. with an undisclosed amount of money. The bloodhound team is on the scene searching for the suspect.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
