AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- EMS Coordinator Harvey Jay offered his resignation to retire after working for the state for 39 years, Aiken County Administrator Clay Killian said.

The County accepted the resignation Tuesday night during the Council meeting, he said. The Council voted to start the process to hire a new EMS Coordinator.

In a News 12 investigation, an unnamed worker estimated 80 to 90 percent of his co-workers didn't like their management. In particular, he says many workers didn't like Jay. Although, he blamed Aiken County Council, who he claims failed to do enough.
