AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WRDW) -- Jefferson Elementary is no longer on lockdown after a scare on Tuesday morning.
Deputies were called to the school after a student reported seeing a man with a gun standing on a hill.
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office says there was no man with a gun and that the hill was actually the roof of a house. Deputies spoke with neighbors, who said they did not see anyone.
Capt. Troy Elwell says the school is secure.
