COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- The adopted daughter of former Harlem Mayor Scott Dean is set to agree to a plea deal.
Sources say Marlin Dean will plea guilty on Monday to stealing over $20,000 in jewelry from her mother, Renee Dean, back in July.
The state has decided not to prosecute the woman accused of pawning off that stolen jewelry, Eva Nevarez. Nevarez was originally facing burglary charges.
Dean's adopted father is serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted of two counts of child molestation last December.
