SALUDA, S.C. (WRDW) -- A South Carolina city has named someone to take the temporary place of its mayor who committed suicide over the weekend.

City Administrator Tom Brooks says Mayor Pro Tem Anissa Turner will be acting as mayor until the next election. Brooks says they should know sometime this week when the date of the special election will be.

Saluda Mayor Frank Addy Jr. was found dead Sunday at his lake home in Chappells, S.C.

Brooks says it was business as usual last week and that Addy had seemed upbeat and positive as of Thursday.

Addy was being investigated by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, but the file will be closed. Brooks says the city knew about the investigation.

No funeral arrangements have been announced at this time.
