AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A man accused of kidnapping an Augusta mother and her child has been indicted.
Leonard Sapp has multiple charges, including hijacking a motor vehicle, kidnapping with bodily injury and criminal attempt to commit rape.
Sapp allegedly went up to a woman at a gas station on 15th Street and held her at knifepoint before forcing her to drive away.
The victim and her 2-year-old daughter were able to escape after a good Samaritan pulled her daughter from the car, but not before Sapp allegedly punched Nay in the face several times, breaking her nose.
