ADPS locate 11 Helping Hands runaways

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW) -- Eleven runaways were found by Aiken Public Safety after leaving Helping Hands on Saturday night.

The runaways included 5 males and 6 females, ADPS confirms. The ages of the runaways range from 13-19 years old.

The runaways were seen taking off by a staff member around 9:20 p.m.

Helping Hands is a 58-bed facility on John Elliott Lane. According to the nonprofit's website, "Helping Hands, Inc. provides residential services to boys and girls between birth and 21 years old who have been removed from their homes by court order through the South Carolina Department of Social Services or the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice."
