AUGUSTA, Ga.---A controversial restaurant may be making a comeback. Up for discussion in today's Augusta Commission meeting is the Super C nightclub, whose former owner, Charles Cummings, is seeking a new business license.
This time, Cummings wants to simply operate as a restaurant. News 12 has learned he will not request a liquor license.
The Commission voted to close Club Super C back in August. Sheriff Ronnie Strength told the Commission committee that for years, the hotspot has been a headache for law enforcement, citing more than 40 recent problems there, including the murder of Stedmund Fryer in July.
