News 12 is proud to sponsor the Little River Blueway Music Jam, benefiting the Little River Blueway Outdoor Adventure Area Project in Sumter National Forest. Join us for a day of celebrating music on the Blueway!

What: Little River Blueway Music Jam
When: Saturday, August 14, 2010, from noon - 9pm
Where: Baker Creek State Park Waterfront Pavilion, Sumter National Forest, McCormick, SC

Lineup:

Noon: Crosstie Walkers of Thomson, GA
1:30 pm: Uncle Mountain of Boone, NC
3 pm: Do It to Julia of Boone, NC
4:30 pm: Uncle Julia (Combined Jam)
6 pm: Snake Oil Medicine Show of Asheville, NC

In addition to great music, kayaking clinics will be held throughout the afternoon from the concert area in Pavilion Cove!

Come by land or water. Pack your picnic coolers and bring your lawn chairs. No glass, please!

  • Park entrance fee: $2 adults; $1.25 US seniors; age 15 and younger free

  • Un-beached boats in pavilion cove: free

  • Donations to the Little River Blueway Outdoor Adventure Area Project will be accepted on site.

The Little River Blueway Outdoor Adventure Area is a regional tourism and economic development project for the CSRA and Lakelands Region, being developed in partnership with the US Army Corps of Engineers, the US Forestry Service, and the state parks. The purpose is to promote the many outdoor sports available in our region and to make it easier for people to enjoy outdoor amenities.
