The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission is recalling 1.3 million Roman and Roller Shades after a five-year old boy almost accidentally strangled himself in Washington. A child's neck can get entangled in the cord. Smith & Noble is the main brand name, along with a few others. They were sold online over the past 12 years. Stop using them or you can get a repair kit. Make sure the cords are out of the way of kids if they are in your home.
More than 300,000 bamboo torches are also being recalled. There's a laceration hazard if you try to remove the wick. We're talking about three models sold at CVS, Rite Aid, and Dollar Tree stores. Stop using them, and you can get your money back.
The CPSC says there are also a lot of problems with Karino baby pacifiers, and your child could choke on it. Get them out of the house and get a refund.
