AIKEN CTY, S.C.---After much debate, the Aiken County Council decided on Tuesday night to table the controversial Sex Offender Ordinance until its January meeting.
Issues with the wording, if the law would affect those currently living in Aiken County and if the law would violate state laws are concerns of the council.
The council is pushing the vote off until January to get some input from cities in Aiken County. Those incorporated areas would not be affected by this new law if passed as it is written today.
