National Symphony Orchestra coming to Aiken

September 10, 2007

AIKEN, S.C.---The USC-Aiken Convocation Center will host a once in a lifetime event. It's a few months away, but the National Symphony Orchestra will perform at the center on February 5 at 7:30.

It's a big act, so you'll want to get tickets early.

The National Symphony Orchestra is made up of 110 of the country's finest musicians.

There will also be local educational outreach activities for students.

The concert is part of the American Residencies Program. The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts accepts one invitation per year to a state or region of the country, and South Carolina was chosen for 2008.
