Fire reported at Kimberly-Clark plant

BEECH ISLAND, S.C.---Fire crews from across Aiken County worked a fire at the Kimberly-Clark plant today. The fire call went out late in the morning.

A security officer told a News 12 photographer that the fire was under control as another fire truck arrived on the scene. News 12 was not allowed on plant property.

Deputies from the Aiken County Sheriff's Office were directing traffic in front of the plant's main entrance on Old Jackson Hwy.

Phone calls to Kimberly-Clark's corporate office have not been returned.
