Fatal accident on I20 westbound near mile marker 34

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C.--A 33-year-old Augusta, Ga man was pronounced dead after a crash on Interstate 20 west near mile marker 34.

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said Glen A. Sizemore was driving a 2001 Dodge truck, returning from a painting job at Ft. Jackson, S.C. when the accident happened around 6:15 p.m. Thursday evening.

According to the passenger, Sizemore began experiencing an unknown choking even when he lost control of his vehicle. Sizemore hit a guardrail and the truck overturned, partially ejecting him. Sizemore was not wearing a seat belt.

The passenger was wearing a seat belt and had no life threatening injuries.

Sizemore may have struck another vehicle during this crash however this is being investigated by the SCHP.

An autopsy for Sizemore has been scheduled for tomorrow in Newberry, S.C. to determine if their were any medical issues that may have contributed to this crash.
