New Ellenton Special Election Results
This morning, the New Ellenton City Council has a new member.
Here's the tally from Tuesday's special election for seat one: Democrat Prestic Faulk won by 88 votes.
Republican David Felder received only 54 votes.
The seat was open after Mark Key stepped down.

Augusta Commission Qualifying Update
A new representative has joined the list of commissioners qualifying for the Augusta seats up for grabs in November.
That new qualifier is Freddie Handy for District 2.
He'll go up against Charlie Hannah, Willie Law IV, and Michael Meyers.
Nobody has qualified yet in District 4.
Bernard Harper is the incumbent.
Andy Cheek can't run again in District 6, but Joseph Jackson II has qualfied.
In Districts 9 and 10, incumbents Jimmy Smith and Don Grantham are in the race.
Qualifying ends Friday afternoon.

Girl Recovering after Being Hit
This morning a little girl is recovering after being hit by a car.
It happened on Dupont Street in Richmond County off Sandbar Ferry Road.
Deputies say she didn't appear to be seriously injured.
The driver was taken into custody.

Missing 11 year-old
This morning police need your help tracking down an 11 year-old boy.
Kyle Morris hasn't been seen since around 8:00 Tuesday morning, as he was walking to the school bus.
He was wearing a teal colored shirt, tan shorts, and New Balance shoes.
Kyle also had an X-Men bookbag and a Toy Soldiers lunchbox.

Assault Suspect Sought
Deputies also want you to keep your eyes peeled for a woman wanted for aggravated assault.
50 year-old April Coleman is accused of hitting her boyfriend with a baseball bat.
He is in stable condition at a local hospital.

Meth Bust in Aiken County
Investigators have busted a second meth lab this week.
49 year-old Corbin McRae is charged with possession of meth and attempting to make meth.
44 year-old Mary McRae is also being charged with attempting to make meth.
The bust happened in Jackson.

History-Making High School
The S.A.T scores are in, and a local hig school's making history this morning.
Seniors at Strom Thurmond High School in Edgefield County outrank the nation in the test scores..
The class of 2007 at STHS posted a score of 1540.
The national score is 1511.
