Meth Lab Bust

Investigators are looking inot a meth lab they discovered in Jackson, South Carolina.

They found it on 785 Jackson Road.

So far, there's no word on how many people were arrested.

McDuffie Manhunt Over

The all-night manhunt in McDuffie County is over.

News 12 has earned the 2nd suspect in a chase has been arrested.

He is 25-year-old Lonzel Vereen of Stockbridge, Georgia.

Both suspects are accused of running from troopers and injuring one in the process. When the car crashed, investigators also found seven to eight pounds of marijuana and guns in the abandoned car.

One suspect, 28 year old Jeremy Vereen was arrested right away.

Lonzel Vereen fled, causing the manhunt.

I-20 Used for Running Drugs

Authorities say I-20 has become a popular route for people moving drugs coast to coast.

Experts say since security has increased after 9-11, most drug dealers use cars, instead of planes.

Experts say Colombian, Mexican, and Caribbean traffickers use I-20.

Accident Victim to be Buried Today

Seven people are still recovering this morning following a deadly car accident on Sunday. It happened on Highway 17 in Thomson, near Dye's Restaurant.

Steven Wilson died in the crash.

His funeral is today at First Baptist Church in Thomson at 11.

Palmer Sentencing Today

A Burke County man could learn today if he will be sentenced to death for killing his wife and step-daughter in the 90's.

Willie Palmer's sentencing phase of his trial starts today.

This was actually his 3rd trial. The first ended in a mistrial. At the second trial, he was convicted and sent to death row, but a judge overturned the verdict because a witness was paid to testify.

Waiting on Results

There's still no official cause of death for the woman who was found dead in her apartment complex pool.

Investigators are waiting on toxicology reports on 44-year-old Donna Boyd, which will take another 2 to 3 weeks.

Thursday, doctors performed the autopsy.

Investigators tell News 12, they don't think she was a crime victim.
