Mysterious death ruled blunt force trauma

August 21, 2007

AIKEN, S.C.---Deputies say 23-year-old Christopher Jordan was killed because of blunt force trauma to the head, not by a hit-and-run driver. How he sustained those injuries is still under investigation. The coroner called Jordan's death "suspicious" after it was found that his injuries were inconsistent with a hit-and-run.

The findings were given to Jordan's family last week after the autopsy was performed. Now they say they are looking for answers.

"I know it's foul play," said Jordan's brother, Nathaniel Stukes. "They beat him. They beat him. I don't know for what reason but they beat him."

Deputies now say Jordan had been to an Aiken nightclub, came home and changed clothes, then left. 40 minutes later he was found along Mayfield Road.
